Why would you buy in this market?

Every time I turn on the TV I see the gloom and doom about our country.  So we might be in a recession......So what?!?!

There are opportunities around every corner.  If you want to be engrossed by the negative of the situation then you will not be able to see the opportunities that exist.  What opportunities you might ask.  If you have considered buying your first home this might be the perfect time.  This might be a good time if you are looking at a second home.  Brett Carman posted a very good article on Donald Trump's Blog explaining why now is a good time to buy real estate.  Read his full article here: http://www.trumpuniversity.com/blog/post/2008/04/dont-let-bad-press-scare-you-away-from-buying-real-estate.cfm. 

Here are some of the situations that make this a good time to buy:

1. Interest rates are crazy low
2. There is a lot of property on the market to choose from
3. Dare I say that it is a "Buyers Market"
4. Banks are willing to do short sales for in trouble homeowners

And yes I think that if you are in the financial position to take advantage of the foreclosure market then you should .  There are some inherent risks associated with foreclosures.  If this is something that you want to do then you can call me at anytime to go over the opportunities.
