GMAC Home Services is Joining Brookfield Residential Property Services

This morning Brookfield Residential Property Services announced that it will acquire GMAC Home Services.  This includes GMAC Home Mortgage, GMAC Real estate, and GMAC Relocation Services.

Who is Brookfield Residential Property Services?

I am glad you asked.  Brookfields Residential Property Services is owned by Brookfield Asset Management Inc. They are involved in real estate sales, services, and relocation in Canada as well as power and infrastructure.  Joining GMAC will result in one of the largest Relocation Services in the World!!! Brookfield Residential Property Services operates under several names including: Royal LePage, La Capitale, Johnston & Daniel and Centract brand names.  Add GMAC to that bunch and you have quite a team.

What are people saying about this?

"This transaction will combine GMAC Home Services' global operations with our businesses, to create a platform for long-term North American and international growth, GMAC Home Services offers its award winning services through locations in forty seven states, Europe and Asia. This acquisition is evidence of our belief in the long-term opportunities for growth in the U.S. residential property services market."

Graham Badun, Managing Partner and CEO of Brookfield Residential Property Services

The purchase of GMAC Home Services by Brookfield allows us to join a globally recognized and respected real estate and relocation services organization. This move will enhance the ability of two world-class organizations to pursue opportunities on a global scale.
