Extension of the First time Home Buyer Tax Credit maks it through the Senate (Current Home Owners nay now qualify!)

The Senate has passed the extension of the current First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit.  The extention is until April 30, 2010 to put a home under contract and then another 60 days to close the transaction.  The extension also has a provision for a $6,500 tax credit for move up buyers that are vacating  home that they have live in for atlease 5 years.

 This is not a victory yet.  this extension must now go through the House of Representatives, then if there are no changes to the White House.  Contact your elected officials and tell them this is an important measure to pass.
